Now, we present to you the most important and greatest step in teaching the Holy Book of Allah; the study of Tajweed.
Definition
- Before you ask, what is Tajweed? Let me remind you that the Qur'an is the words of Allah, who has pledged to preserve it from distortion and interpretation and even from wrong reading and melody.
- So, over time, teachers have established the science of Tajweed, to work with the saying of Allah: «and it is certainly We Who will preserve it. » {al-hijr 9}
- So, Tajweed is to give the letter its right of its necessary qualities, and to bring it out in the correct way in which the prophet and the companions were reciting, so that the Muslim receives full reward by achieving proper reading of the Qur'an.
ORIGIN OF TAJWEED
- Perhaps you are asking, how did we know the correct recitation? How did it get to us?
- Through time, the Qur'an has been transmitted by «mushafah» indoctrination; the Prophet Muhammad took it from Jibril (peace be upon him) and passed it on to the companions, and then the companions, such as Abdullah ibn mas'ud, learned it and passed it on generation after generation.
- This is how the Qur'an came to us after people kept it in their chests and passed it on to others.
CAUSES TO LEARN TAJWEED
- You can now deduce the reason why Tajweed is learned; Sure, to get the correct reading of the words of Allah by pronouncing the letter with his correct time and judgment, and in this way the reader avoids mistakes and melody during recitation.
- One of the benefits of Tajweed is also the straightening of the tongue and its training in the Arabic.
WAYS AND METHODS
- To learn Tajweed, there are two ways after studying the rules; firstly, the learner should recite to his teacher and the teacher corrects the recitation.
- Or, the Sheikh should recite and repeat the learner after him.
- And to avoid confusion as to which is better, both methods can certainly be combined!
SECTIONS AND TARGET
What are the sections of Tajweed?
- At the begining, you get acquainted with the rules Noon sakinah and tanween; the way it is written in the Mushaf, and the signs of tanween, and then we begin to know the rules of Izhar, Idgham, Iqlab and Ikhfaa, and find out the reason behind each of them.
- Then the second chapter begins with the rules of the «Meem Sakinah» and the reason for the rule, followed by the noon and the meem mushaddad, Lam Shamsyah and Qamareyah, and then the Qalqalah.
- We're done with the Meem, Noon and what follows? Very well; now is the time to study the Madd.
- In the reading lessons, we got acquainted with the long vowels "natural madd", now we get acquainted with other types of Madd, such as Muttasil, Munfasil and others. And when we finish this, we move on to the other stage, the exits and the character of letters.
- Why? To learn the perfect way to pronounce the letter and to tame my tongue on classical Arabic; and with this, full reward is achieved, and the correct reciting, God willing.
